Period Care, Without Compromise

TOTM is an award-winning period care brand, committed to creating comfortable, safe and sustainable period care without compromise. Their work reflects a commitment to a fairer, more supportive world for all women.

TOTM period care is free from the toxins, heavy metals, dyes, bleach, and pesticides often found in conventional period-care. Their range is created with comfort in mind using 100% organic cotton, and is certified with the Global Organic Textile Standard (GOTS). This is one of the most rigorous and globally recognised certifications for organic fibres – TOTM’s pads, tampons and liners are naturally soft, absorbent and breathable

TOTM’s Unrivalled Period Positive Workplace Scheme

TOTM’s commitment and dedication to making a period-positive impact expands further with its trailblazing Period Positive Workplace Scheme. The first brand to offer such a scheme in the UK, TOTM now supplies over 10,000 sites nationwide, working with organisations and employees to bust taboos and drive shame-free discussions around menstrual wellbeing.

Menstrual health at work isn’t a “nice to have”, it’s a fundamental part of completely supporting your employees. In TOTM’s Periods at Work study, 70% of colleagues said they have been caught short at work, 94% reported that period pain and discomfort disrupt their working day, and almost half have had to leave early or take time off due to symptoms. The findings highlight how stigma, lack of policy and limited access to products continue to impact menstrual wellbeing in the workplace.

TOTM’s Period Positive Workplace Scheme is designed to help organisations create more supportive, practical, and inclusive workplace environments. By ensuring employees have access to essential period products when they need them, workplaces can remove a simple but significant barrier, helping to reduce avoidable absenteeism while supporting period dignity and productivity.Even something as simple as making free period products available in workplace bathrooms sends a clear message of commitment, laying the foundations for menstrual dignity, equity, and a more inclusive workplace culture.

With the upcoming new ISO 45010 guidance on menstrual health and menopause at work expected in 2026, organisations will soon be encouraged to formally integrate menstrual and menopausal health into their occupational safety and health (OSH) systems. This marks an important shift, recognising women’s health as a core workplace health, safety, and business priority.

Driving Change Through Advocacy and Activism

Menstrual health advocacy remains a key pillar of TOTM’s work. The issue of public health and menstrual welfare informs TOTM’s mission, which expands beyond sustainable period-care and into the menstrual healthcare agenda. Pioneers in the field, TOTM is helping close the gender health gap with campaigns that drive social impact, challenge policy and disrupt the status quo.

A recent investigation by the Women’s Environmental Network (WEN) and Pesticide Action Network UK found pesticide residues, including glyphosate (a weedkiller), in some conventional tampon brands sold by UK retailers, with concentrations up to 40 times higher than the legal drinking-water limit. Given the absorbent nature of vaginal tissue, these findings have raised serious concerns.

Champions for equity and greater industry transparency, TOTM are petitioning the UK Government to introduce greater safety regulations for tampons. With contamination and greenwashing high on the news agenda, if addressed, the appeal would change the face of tampon regulation for good by mandating ingredient labelling, rigorous safety testing and post-market monitoring.

The petition emphasises that menstrual care should have product specific safety regulations and rather than being regulated as a consumer commodity. That is why all TOTM tampons, pads and liners are made from 100% GOTS-certified organic cotton and contain no toxins, heavy metals, dyes, bleach or pesticides.

Extending Their Impact Beyond Period Care

TOTM is a certified B Corp company, meeting rigorous standards for social and environmental performance, accountability and transparency. A strong advocate for closing the gender health gap and championing women’s health, TOTM has donated over £100k to support Endometriosis UK. They also extend their impact to women in the wider community by donating essential products via In Kind Direct, helping to ease period poverty for those in need. Alongside this, their environmental action with Plastic Offset ensures that for every cardboard tampon sold, a plastic applicator is removed from the ocean, reinforcing their mission to care for both people and the planet.

Alongside supplying period care, TOTM is committed to supporting and strengthening the menstrual health sector through educational resources. They produce a wide range of resources and content covering menstrual wellbeing, menopause, and best practice for workplace menstrual support, for example. More recently, they have launched a CPD-accredited menstrual and menopause e-learning course. Providing workplaces with the tools to train colleagues and leaders with informed, evidence-based training on menstrual health, this training not only enhances awareness but also fosters supportive and inclusive workplace cultures.
